The Science of Salt-Free: How TAC Technology Works

1. Nucleation: As hard water flows over the media, calcium and magnesium ions are pulled into the nucleation sites.
2. Micro-Crystal Formation: These ions build up on the bead surface, transforming into microscopic crystals. Think of this like rolling loose snowflakes into a tight snowball.
3. Release: Once the crystal reaches a stable size (micrometers), it breaks off the bead and flows freely into the water stream.

The Result: "Soft Scale"

Because the calcium is now in a stable crystal form, it is neutral. It cannot bond to your pipes or heater elements. It simply bounces off surfaces and flows down the drain.

• In your Kettle/Shower: If water evaporates, you may see a light white dust (the crystals). Unlike stubborn limescale, this dust wipes away easily with a cloth—no scrubbing or acid required.
• In your Pipes: The abrasive nature of these crystals can actually help remove existing scale over time, scrubbing your pipes clean from the inside out.
